Acceptable Items:

The Yard Waste Site is ONLY for the disposal of brush, branches, leaves, grass, woodchips, and logs. Logs must be 12 inches or less in diameter and three feet or less in length. Tree stumps will not be accepted.

Purchase of Topsoil and Mulch:

Topsoil and mulch (hardwood, brown, black, red) are available for purchase at a fee payable to the site operator. Contact the site for pricing information.

General Information:

• Drop-off services are free to Bridgewater residents.
• All residents must stop at the office trailer and show proof of residency prior to dumping.
• Contractors and commercial operators may use the site to drop off material from Bridgewater residents; however, there will be a fee for this service payable by the contractors. Contact the site at 732-469-1500 for pricing information.

Yard Waste Permits:

• Residents may receive two free yard waste drop-off permits per year using one commercial or rental vehicle, with each load limited to 6 cubic yards. A permit is required for each drop off.
• Permits must be picked up in person by the resident at the Public Works Building, 411 Chimney Rock Road, Building A. Please call 908-725-6300 ext. 6000 ahead of time to make sure staff are available.
• When applying for a permit, residents must provide the landscape contractor’s name and address, along with the vehicle description and license plate number.
• Residents must accompany the contractor to the Yard Waste Facility for each permitted drop-off.
• Only yard waste from the address listed on the permit may be dropped off, and the load may not exceed 6 cubic yards.
• Upon arrival at the Yard Waste Facility, the driver and homeowner must check in at the office trailer and submit the permit before unloading.
• Acceptable materials include brush, branches, wood chips, leaves, grass, and logs.
• Each permit is valid for one drop-off only and expires at the end of the calendar year it is issued.
• Misuse of a permit may result in the loss of yard waste disposal privileges.
