A lifelong Bridgewater resident in his second term as mayor, Matthew Moench enjoys nothing more than working for the residents of the town. Moench graduated from Bridgewater-Raritan High School in 2000, Rutgers College in 2004 and Seton Hall Law School in 2007. He served as a member of the township council for three terms before running for mayor in 2019 to ensure Bridgewater was being run with the best interests of its residents in mind and to protect the town from rampant over development. Moench is particularly proud to call his administration, “the most open and transparent in Bridgewater’s history.”
