Attention Residents: All Employees now working at Municipal Complex and “Phase 1” Reopening to begin on Monday 6/1

Attention Residents:

As of Tuesday, May 26, 2020, Bridgewater Township welcomed back most of our dedicated Township employees to the municipal complex.  Township employees are no longer tele-commuting with a few exceptions and, as always, are available to answer your phone calls and email.   We feel confident that we are able to provide a safe work environment where our employees will feel safe.

Additionally, starting next week, Monday, June 1, 2020, some departments will be allowing members of the public into the building for essential Township business by appointment only.  This “Phase 1” opening will be limited to services which necessitate in-person interaction with Township staff.  Residents must wear a protective mask to enter the building.  We plan on offering more in-person appointments with more Departments in the coming weeks as we build toward a full reopening of the building to the public.  The services available on June 1st are outlined below:

Clerk’s Office:

Marriage Licenses: Please call or email our Clerk’s Office at 908-725-6300 x5021 or bwtclerk@bridgewaternj.gov if you need to make an appointment.  Employees will give you direction on the procedure for entering the building.

Municipal Court:

Citizen Complaints:  If you wish to file a citizen complaint to the Courts Office, please call/ email 908-725-6300 x5410 or Audrey.Lipinski@njcourts.gov to make an appointment.  Employees will give you direction on the procedure for entering the building.

Finance Office:

Tax Assessor Files:  If residents require access to records maintained by the Township Tax Assessor for purposes of a tax appeal with the County they can call or email at 908.725.6300 x5125 or taxassessor@bridgewaternj.gov to make an appointment.  Employees will give you direction on the procedure for entering the building.

Property Tax Rebate: Seniors that need to have the Tax Collector help with their Property Tax Rebate forms can call or email at 908.725.6300 x5145 or taxcollector@bridgewaternj.gov to make an appointment.  Employees will give you direction on the procedure for entering the building.
