Department of Public Works: Yard Waste


In order to reduce costs and continue to offer drop off service to residents of Bridgewater, this site is now being operated by Reliable Wood Products.  It is important to note that there continues to be FREE DROP OFF SERVICE to all Bridgewater residents.  The few changes to this service are noted below:

·         Hours of operation will be expanded as indicated on the signs at the site.

·     Contractors and commercial operators may still use the site to drop off material from Bridgewater residents; however, there will be a fee for this service payable by the contractors.

·        Mulch can no longer be offered for free but is available for a nominal charge payable to the site operator.

·       Resident’s will be allowed one commercial vehicle (6 cubic yards max) to drop-off yard waste for free twice a year, with a permit available from the Superintendent of Public Works.  Permits must be picked up in person by Resident at the Public Works building, 411 Chimney Rock Road, Building A, Bridgewater. Resident must accompany contractor to Yard Waste Site

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping the Township continue to offer this service in the most efficient manner with the lowest cost possible.

Monday-Friday:           7:30 am – 3:45 pm

Saturday:                     8:00 am – 1:30 pm

Sunday:                        Closed


The Yard Waste facility is closed on the following dates:

April 19     May 26     July 4     July 5    August 30      September 1    November 27      November 28     November 29    December 25     December 26       December 27    January 1, 2015


Keep in mind The Yard waste Site is for disposal of Brush, Leaves, Grass, Woodchips, Logs, ONLY

The Township has an e-waste drop-off container located at 411 Chimney Rock Rd. adjacent to Building A.  Electronics may be dropped off between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
