CALL MEETING TO ORDER:
Vice Chairwoman Joanne Kane called the regular meeting of the Bridgewater Township Planning Board to order at 7:00 pm at the Bridgewater Township Municipal Court, 505 Route 202/206 North, Bridgewater, New Jersey.
OPEN PUBLIC MEETINGS ACT ANNOUNCEMENT:
In accordance with the requirements for the Open Public Meetings Act, this meeting was noticed on January 22, 2009. Notices were sent to the Courier News and The Star Ledger, and were posted in the Bridgewater Township Municipal Building at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. All requirements of the Sunshine Law have been met.
Please be aware of the Planning Board policy for public hearings: no new applications will be heard after 10:00 pm and no new testimony will be taken after 10:15 pm.

APPROVAL OF BOARD MINUTES:
January 13, 2009 Re-Organization & Regular Meeting – Motion by Mr. Rodzinak, second by Mrs. Dickey, the January 13, 2009 Re-Organization & Regular Meeting minutes of the Planning Board were adopted, as amended, on a unanimous voice vote of those present and eligible to vote:

MEMORIALIZATION OF RESOLUTIONS:
SOMERSET COUNTY - Courtesy Review
Block 347 Lot 1.02 (Main Street, County Route 533 & Foothill Rd.)
#40-08-PB, Preliminary Site Plan
PROPOSAL – Adult Day Care Center
Motion by Mr. Rodzinak, second by Mrs. Barbara Kane, the resolution memorializing the review and favorable recommendation of the above referenced capital improvement plan of Somerset County, which entails the construction of an adult day care center, was adopted, as presented, on the following roll call vote:
AFFIRMATIVE: Mr. Rodzinak, Mrs. Barbara Kane, Mr. Hayes, Mrs. Dickey
OPPOSED: None
ABSTENTIONS: Mrs. Joanne Kane
ABSENT: Councilman Albano, Mayor Flannery, Chairman Fross
NOT ELIGIBLE: Mr. Leven

BOARD BUSINESS
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRIDGEWATER AMENDING SECTION 126-309.3 ENTITLED SENIOR CITIZEN RESIDENTIAL ZONE, SUBSECTION D AND SUBSECTION F.
Nancy Weaver-Smith, PP provided a brief overview of the above referenced Ordinance which included discussions of Township Planner Doyle’s recommendations as noted in her report dated 2/17/09. After considerable discussions, the Boardrecommended that the Ordinance be adopted as written.
Motion by Mr. Hayes, second by Mr. Leven, the above referenced Ordinance was endorsed by the Planning Board, as presented, on the following roll call vote:
AFFIRMATIVE: Mr. Rodzinak, Mrs. Joanne Kane, Mr. Leven Mrs. Barbara Kane, Mr. Hayes, Mrs. Dickey
OPPOSED: None
ABSTENTIONS: None
ABSENT: Councilman Albano, Mayor Flannery, Chairman Fross
NOT ELIGIBLE: None

OTHER BOARD BUSINESS:
Township Engineer Bogart noted that Mayor Flannery has requested volunteers from the Planning Board to assist the Street Naming Committee in their responsibilities. The following Board members volunteered:

· Mrs. N. Janine Dickey
MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Vice Chairwoman Joanne Kane opened the meeting to public for non-agenda items. With hearing none, Vice Chairwoman Kane closed the public portion of the meeting.
ADJOURNMENT:
It was the consensus of the Board to adjourn the meeting at approximately 7:30pm.
