Presently, the park occupies about twenty-four acres of Green Acres land and contains:
four ball fields, two tennis courts, one basket ball court, one roller hockey rink,
playground equipment, and restrooms.
The park was created in phases. In March 1981, the Township Council approved $400,000 for
the development of the Loft Tract, and land purchased from the widow Loft. Additional
property was added from the Estate of Selmer Loft in 1992. The first phase of construction
was completed in 1982, by E.K. Contracting, and consisted of general park improvements at
a cost of $169,408. In 1985, the second phase of park construction, consisting of the
tennis courts and plantings was completed by Ventura at a cost of $247,603. In 1996,
softball fences were added at a cost of $42,320 and the roller hockey rink was added at a
cost of $4,100. Township staff designed the park.
