MAYOR’S UPDATE FEBRUARY 4, 2014 - HAZARDOUS STORM POTENTIAL
February 4, 2014

Residents should prepare for hazardous conditions associated with a winter storm that will hit the Bridgewater area overnight Tuesday February 4th into Wednesday February 5th.  The storm has the potential for 3-6 inches of additional snow as well as accumulating ice.  The accumulating ice can cause significant problems with downed trees and power lines.  Residents should prepare for possible power outages in advance of the storm.  Should you lose power please contact your local power utility immediately.

 

All residents should exercise caution and limit travel to only when necessary during the storm.  Remember to charge all devices and have extra batteries and supplies on hand.  For a full list of winter preparedness precautions please see www.ready.gov/winter-weather.

 

To receive updated storm and traffic related information affecting the township,  residents are encourage to either follow the Bridgewater Police Department on Facebook or sign up with Nixle on the Police Departments or Township’s web site.
